Introduction
Aggressive and violent behavior, bullying, desensitization to violence, fear, and depression demonstrate the effects of media violence covered in this essay. The results have been mainly associated with children because they are on the verge of experiencing such effects as aggression and violence. Such effects are experienced on children prone to looking at violent television programs that promote aggressive and violent activities. Imitation is a crucial aspect that demonstrates how children develop aggressive behaviors by watching weird television programs. In the same issue, children develop cognitive scripts that guide their behavior when they imitate people or actors on television programs. So they act depending on characters that television or media content exposes, explaining how media promote violence in society. Besides, the effects of media violence and specifically television affect hoe children solve problems that face them at the classroom level. Such children internalize scripts that use violence to solve the problem at the classroom level, and because they saw how issues are solved on the television, they tend to copy such same thing. As a result of copying, such children then develop violent acts that later affect their behavior on solving issues. Children also think it is okay to strike others and approach them as a way of solving problems performed by their favorite television star. Such an approach demonstrates how media violence affects children and the societal level. Literature Review
Numerous early research studies such as Hermes et al. (2019) and Huesmann et al. (2016) cover some media effects that television has both on adults and children across the globe. Hermes et al. (2019) demonstrated that children tend to internalize scripts that use violence to solve problems in the classroom because they have copied from their favorite characters shown on television programs. Besides, children have imitated from their favorite television characters how to solve issues based on how they act while solving similar television programs. Children have developed aggressiveness because they have developed cognitive scripts that guide their actions. Such have enabled children to follow or copy everything that media exposes as much as violence and aggression have been considered. The result based on the study also demonstrated that children who back at home are glued on televisions program were more likely to expose violent behavior than their counterparts who are not used to damaging television programs. It is an indication that violent television programs, which constitute media, affect children's actions by increasing wired characters such as aggressiveness and violence. The effect is not dependent on whether the media is based on actual characters or based on factious character; the impact of children's minds is equal and extensive.
