Introduction
The Universal Declaration of Human is the stepping stone document for the history of human rights as it captures legal, cultural, and all regions of the world. According to the historical document, the Institution level of oppression for populations in Malawi where dominant groups in the social control power and all resources is a breach of inherent human dignity. Through the same rights and freedom foundation to justice because all human beings are born free and should, therefore, have equal rights. Every citizen is entitled to be free from violation of any kind including, race, gender, religion, property, and color, and birth status.
The second condition, societal/cultural level, all norms, massages, ritual, art, and music, should be considered acceptable right. Article 8 notes that every person is entitled to the equal right to fair and public hearing regardless of the impartial tribunal. The act of violating the rights granted to the citizen is against constitutional laws. Article 18 notes, every person has a right to religion, so they are free to believe either publicly or privately (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 2020). In all other world communities, every person has a right to freely participate in the cultural life of the community, for instance, arts and music.
Lack of Economic Resources
Understandably, poverty is caused by a lack of economic resources, which results in discrimination and social injustices. To alleviate the above conditions and promote social justice and advance human rights, every person must value equal concern and respect for freedom (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 2020). Every person must have freedom of choice and live a healthy life. Secondly, it also requires government attention, whereby it has to come across and create conditions that enable individuals to live well.
These can also be the provision of essential services such as health and nutrition equally to all persons in the community. Thirdly, focus on addressing the broad range of social determinants for health and unhealthy equalities. Human rights and social justice vary from the relevance of political and civil rights. Therefore factors such as income distribution to households, moral judgment, and legitimacy of policies should be dealt with to give equal opportunities to everyone as well as maintaining social values and welfare for all.
Forth, it can also be a choice of individual responsibility by clearly understanding the debates and the importance of having a collective society. Everybody in society should try to remove barriers to respect for freedom (Karien et al., 2020). Under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “human rights and their exercise shall be subject to everyone without limitation and would serve as a purpose for respect and due recognition of other people’s rights” (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 2020). Therefore, the purpose and rights should not be exercised contrary to the principle underlaid by the laws of the country.
Conclusion
Many people have different attitudes toward human rights and social justice. One of the main reasons for the study of social work is to promote social justice right from education. Most scholars feel that races, gender discrimination, and other forms of oppression have an impact on social work practices. I also believe we need to improve our concepts in understanding the dynamics of social justice and human rights. However, indigenous cultural values and knowledge and changing of social, emotional learning are leading me to shift my self-description to what people believed and did in the ancient.
