Question 1
The gender relations in society have been so divisive, and the inequality has created a contradicting conflict in every sphere. The relationship at the workplace, homes, and in public affairs still shows that the inequality and gender gap still exist; thus, it affects the social and world economic structure. These are shown by the kind of relationship between men and women in society, how men view women, and the response they get. For instance, most men take advantage of women in the society where they want them to be submissive even when they are wrong about an issue. Concurring to Littlefield et al. (2015), interpersonal conflicts do happen due to differences in perspectives portrayed by different gender in the community. When such does happen, everyone wants to have their way on an issue, thus causing a lot of disputes during the decision making process.
However, modern society has made gender inequality paramount as many instances tend to propel the dominance over the women. Corresponding to research, women in the United States earn 80% of the total full time earning of men. That depicts that men are still superior to women and are considered more productive to their counterparts in society. It also implies that men dominate the managerial and supervisory positions in organizations than women.
Question 2
Intelligent women are suitable for high-level leadership roles as compared to men who are not intelligent. When it comes to leadership, it does not matter whether one is a man or a woman. As portrayed by Kulich & Chipeaux, (2019), most of the intelligent women are more productive than men, and they tend to assume the high positions in the organization for the sake of its prosperity. Also, the decisiveness trait in both men and women play a major role when it comes to leadership. It accounts for 61% of the major trait considered for a leader, and when a woman possesses more than what can be found on the applicants, it is vital to consider the woman as the prospect leader (Stelzner, 2015). However, there is an underrepresentation of women in the political leadership pinned on a lack of confidence. There is a belief that women do fear to express themselves in public places hence causing a discrepancy in society. It does not mean that women are not skilled, intelligent, and decisive; they are only afraid to step out to be counted and be relied upon during the decision-making process.
Question 3
I think women should be encouraged to pursue their dreams without being judged on who they are in society. When they are given an equal chance and treated like any other man in society, they are likely to achieve more than expected. In this case, they will be able to overcome their fears and become productive when the comparison is eliminated. The notion that they are inferior should not be encouraged at all, and when it comes to employment opportunities, they should be considered based on the qualification ("undefined," 2017). Also, the organization should always have a merit base evaluation of skills that give the women equal chances as men to take part in high-leadership roles. By doing so, the organization is likely efficient and diligent. According to Michael Kimmel, one can only dream of a society without discrimination against women, a community full of love for one another when women are considered as equal beings to men. Until then, we will have disagreements and conflicts at the home, workplace, and even in social places.
