Immigration is the movement of persons to other countries from their home region or countries to live. Every year numerous people migrate to other countries. Different economic and non-economic factors play a significant role in migration. From the urge to improve one's standard of living, one must obtain a high remuneration to secure a better career and become educated. War, genocide, natural disaster, persecution, and ethnic cleansing are also significant. With enhanced technology and transportation, there is an increase in immigration worldwide, leaving an impact on both host and home countries.
Immigration can be divisive or combinative between the immigrants and the native, depending on the impact they put on the country. Immigration acts as a polarizing issue. Immigrants are mostly attracted to those places which are growing. Immigrants take native jobs and lower their wages (Fan, 1997). They abuse the state welfare since they don't access the tested means of prosperity, especially in their first years of stay. Besides increasing the government debt and budget deficit, the state of economic inequality rises as well as terrorism. These issues bring a long division between the natives and immigrants.

Given the role of policymaker, I would enact a policy of taking the data of immigrants after five years. This policy manipulates the level of migration. Also, it endorses the immigration of high- trained employees as well as fosters the naturalization and integration of immigrants in the country hosting them. Data also includes more information like fertility, age structure, mortality, health. It also contains data and policies put by the government of host countries. This information involves the strategies to encourage the return of people in their country, systems involving emigration, and the right to have dual citizenship. This policy will address most of the political, economic, and political issues. Encouragement of people back to their countries will reduce adverse social effects. High skilled immigrants will improve economic levels.
